It is also one of the few smartphones in the local market that currently offer the 5G SA network mode - where the 5G network has its dedicated 5G facilities to provide enormous speed improvements and minimal network latency. Before we dive into what it has to offer, here's a glance at the new Reno 6 Pro 5G specification sheet.
Identical to its predecessor's hardware, the Reno 6 Pro 5G also has a Quad camera on its rear, consisting of a 64MP main, 8MP Ultra-wide-angle, 2MP macro, and a 2MP mono lens. And on the front is the 32MP punch-hole selfie camera. In terms of its camera performance, it is like the Reno5 Pro 5G, capable of taking shots with great exposure, as per our earlier review.
The primary camera can capture a clear indoor and outdoor night shot with the proper exposure. With the bokeh flare feature within the portrait mode, the photo captured have relatively good quality and only further blur out the main subject details when adjusted to approximately 40% or more of the bokeh effect.
In terms of videography, the Reno 6 Pro 5G brings in some exciting features, which enhance the user's overall experience in creating video content. Among them are the Bokeh Flare Portrait Video, AI Highlight Video, Ultra night Video, and Focus Tracking feature.
Bokeh Flare Video - Powered by AI algorithms, which run thousands of computations a second, the Bokeh Flare Portrait can now be applied even on videography on both the front and rear camera— giving a stronger focus on the subject and a dreamy background.
Ultra Night Video - The ambient light is automatically optimized when filming in an outdoor setting at night. The Live HDR and Ultra Night Video algorithm give a brighter and more detailed video.
Focus Tracking Video - A clear focus is set on the moving subject no matter how the subject moves during filming with the Focus tracking feature.
Powered by MediaTek's latest 6nm Dimensity 1200 5G chip, the Reno 6 Pro 5G has a 22% fast CPU, 13% faster GPU, and 12.5% faster AI than its predecessor, according to Oppo. It also provides a True dual 5G Standalone(SA) connectivity that provides a more consistent 5G user experience with a great voice and video call quality via both cellular connections. And along with it is the standard size of a 12GB Ram and a 256GB storage space.
The Reno 6 Pro 5G has a large 5.6-inch soft AMOLED breathtaking curved display with an FHD+ (2400 x 1080 resolution), a fast 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 180Hz touch sampling rate. It also has a 402 PPI pixel density and 500 nits or a high brightness mode (HBM) of 800 nits of display brightness, giving a sharp and bright display. In addition, the Reno 6 Pro 5G display covers a 97% NTSC / 100% DPI-P3 color gamut, is HDR10+ certified, Netflix HD certified, and Amazon Prime Video HD certified. Meaning media viewing such as videos stream on the Reno 6 Pro 5G seem punchier, more dynamic, and more depth to the picture.
Larger Battery Capacity
Slimmer than its predecessor, the Reno 6 Pro 5G is approximately 7.1mm thick only, yet holds a slightly larger battery size of 4500mAh (2*2250mAh) typical battery size and supports the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charge. Even after hours of media usage in a day, such as watching youtube, playing Call of Duty mobile, and playing Spotify music, the Reno 6 Pro 5G still holds a strong battery life of approximately 40% left.
With an increase in the trend of short video clips, Reno 6 Pro 5G smartphone definitely can win the hearts of many youths interested in filming and even Gen X that are gradually joining the TikTok bandwagon. It includes many professional videography features and provides accessibility to creating great quality videos.
